Denise Carmack, APRN, FNP-BC
With over 25 years of experience in the medical field, Denise Carmack is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who brings deep expertise and an approachable, attentive style to every patient interaction. Denise began her career in critical care nursing and transitioned into advanced practice in 2020, earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Bradley University. Since then, she has provided care across the Reno–Sparks region, including at Renown Regional and Renown Medical Group.
At the heart of Denise’s work is a commitment to making patients feel seen, heard, and valued. While at Renown, she was honored with the Spelman Award for Excellent Patient Care, a distinction awarded to the top 10% of providers based on patient satisfaction and feedback.
Today, Denise leads the urgent care and family medicine services at Western Nevada Wellness & Pain, offering same-day visits, DOT physicals, wellness checkups, chronic disease management, and more. She believes quality care doesn’t mean rushed care, and takes the time to explain, educate, and truly connect with each patient. Denise welcomes adults 18 and older for thoughtful, efficient care rooted in clinical skill and compassionate service.
